Happy childhood memories of school in Swan Hill. Getting grapes off my dad’s truck each week when he came home. Kicking footy with all our friends. I am going to miss our yarns throughout the years. Rest In Peace.❤️

Aunt, You were such a special part of my life. I did not get to see you in recent years but I often thought of you and held you in my heart. I still have the dish you made for me and will cherish forever along with the stories you told me and the love and connection to family I found with you and Auntie Beverely. My heart is full of sadness, but this is not for you because I know that you have began your next journey now. I will miss your smile that came from your eyes and radiated throughout your face. Love always and thank you Liz McDonald

Auntie Nellie and my friendship was close to 40 years. There were gaps due to distance when we didn’t get to catch up. Whenever we did see each other, even after years, I would sing out to her around the corner and she would always say my name back. Aunt always knew it was me. Our long yarns were full of laughter, as well as tears. Auntie Nellie asked me, many years ago, to make sure 'I Can See Clearly Now,' by Hothouse Flowers, was played at her funeral. Auntie Nellie and I saw Hothouse Flowers, an Irish Band, in concert over 35 years ago. We also met them after the show and have remained friends with them for all these years. Liam, the lead singer, would often ask after Nellie. Almost every time, I caught up with Auntie Nellie, especially in the last decade, she would remind me to play this song at her funeral. My fingers are crossed for today Aunt. Love you ❤️xx
