The Nyah District & Community Swimming Pool is deeply saddened by the passing of Rodney. He was a tireless volunteer at the pool for many years, dedicating his time as our maintenance man. Rodney ensured the pool was a welcoming and enjoyable place for all during the summer months. We will miss his stories, his kindness and his presence in our community. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family.
The Nyah Swimming Pool committee
Rodney was always happy and always positive about everything except when it had a negative impact on his pool maintenance. We had many long chats over the years, which I will miss. Not seeing him at the pool will take some getting used to. Rest in Peace, Rod

We extend our deepest sympathy to Rodney/s, family and close friends at this time of deep sadness. Rodney was a stalwart in his support for the community, in all that he did at the Nyah Pool. Rodney will always be remembered for large workload, Rodney undertook there and having a chat.

It is with great sadness I write this. My life was changed by firstly Roy Cant, and by Rodney after Roy passed away. I have never known such kindness as what Roy and Rodney showed to me. Not too many people would give you a break in life like they gave me... not too many at all. Rodney continued to support me the way his father did and we became great friends. Not only did he support me by helping me build a life here, he also gave me the opportunity to provide a comfortable life for my young family. Thank you Rodney, I will be eternally grateful. People like you and your father are not made every day.
